Schweben took the most classical Biodub way as it was inspired by a visual impression, especially in my earlier tracks, this was the method that was used. I called this process"biodubbing" It is a way of staring into a visual impression (often in nature, but in principle it can be anything) and trying to listen/perceive the sounds that they create. Sometimes this gives me a clear acoustic impression. I use a phenomenon called synesthesia. Synesthesia is the connection between two or more senses, that are normally not connected. Some people build these connections naturally. I was about 16 years old when I first heard about synesthesia. My father had read an article about it in a local paper and asked me if, for me letters have distinctive colours. I answered: Yes of course, especially the vowels and numbers too. Your's don't?" Later I used that natural connection between colours, forms and sound aimed for musical inspiration. For me it feels like some kind of biological recording and transforming the visual impressions into sound, "biodubbing". This is where the name Biodub comes into form.
I guess synesthesia has had a big influence in all my tracks but of course not always the origin comes from biodubbing. This would also be limiting myself.

Back to the emergence of Schweben.
After a walk through the park in my hometown Hannover on a cold winter day I reached a place that locals call the temple. A place that I know very well and have often been to before. On this day the snow had arrived, It was foggy but light at the same time. I took my time to listen and perceive the inspiration for Schweben. Often, when I 'm working on my music, they evolve and change during the process of production and become something completely different than what I had in mind. In case of Schweben, the original mood made it through to the final track very clearly.
